Biography

Dr. James is a bilingual (English/Spanish) and multicultural licensed psychologist who provides therapy in 21 states and specializes in working with adults. Dr. James conducts psychological evaluations and offers individual, group, and couples’ therapy. She takes an evidence-based approach in working with clients who struggle with anxiety, depression, grief, interpersonal struggles, post-partum depression, LGBTQ+ issues, life change transitions, among many others. Dr. James’s obtained her Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology from New Mexico State University and has a M.A in Counseling Psychology and a B.D. in Psychology from the Autonomous University of Ciudad Juarez, Mexico (UACJ). Dr. James has several years of experience working as a therapist in Mexico and in the United States. Her expertise working in both cultures and countries brings a cultural understanding of the Latino community to the therapy session that help her clients feel comfortable to open up and see their struggles from a different lens.

Biography

Dr. Ramirez is a bilingual and bicultural clinical psychologist with a passion for providing culturally responsive mental health care to individuals throughout the lifespan. She has experience working with all ages ranging from childhood through older adulthood, providing individual, couples, and family therapy. Dr. Ramirez is passionate about increasing accessibility of culturally and linguistically responsive psychotherapy, and practices evidence-based treatments. She works collaboratively with individuals to treat a wide range of issues including depression, anxiety, trauma disorders, and obsessive compulsive disorders, phase of life issues, marital or relational difficulties, among others. She completed her training in the Bay Area of California and obtained her Psy.D. in Clinical Psychology at John F. Kennedy University in Pleasant Hill California. Dr. Ramirez relocated to El Paso to complete her doctoral training and developed a deep appreciation for the rich culture and values of the El Paso community. Her personal and professional values center around supporting individuals develop more compassionate relationships with themselves to promote their own healing, and develop the skills necessary to improve relationships, understand their own needs and values, and empower themselves to achieve self-fulfillment and meaningful living.

Juventino Vazquez is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) who provides bilingual therapy services. He is dedicated to supporting individuals in thriving, achieving their goals, and collaborating with them to develop personalized treatment plans. These plans empower individuals to uncover their full potential and strengths, helping them overcome both current and historical challenges.

Juventino recognizes that beginning therapy can be a complex decision, often influenced by cultural stigma and misleading messages in society regarding mental health. In his sessions, he creates a supportive and empathetic environment, fostering collaboration to ensure individuals feel safe and comfortable while exploring healthy solutions to their concerns.

Juventino has extensive experience working with individuals, couples, and families facing challenges such as anxiety, depression, grief, loss, LGBTQ+ issues, and life transitions. His approach is rooted in evidence-based practices, ensuring clients receive effective, research-backed therapeutic support.

With experience providing therapy in both Mexico and the United States, Juventino is well-equipped to address a diverse range of client needs and cultural backgrounds.
